Steps to install:The effects will get installed in C:\Program Files\Movie Maker. After restarting WMM 6.0, you'll have five new effects in various pixelation sizes.
1) Figure out if you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows.
2) Pick the matching installer.
Blaine's Pixelate Effects (32-bit)
Blaine's Pixelate Effects (64-bit)
Note: These effects will not work with the older 2.x versions of Movie Maker.
Blaine! I LOVE what you do! I used to have ALL your effects on my old computer but I recently got Windows 7, and re-downloaded Windows 6.0 from the internet and I have tried ALL your effects but I can't even get them to appear in WMM. It's 64 bit.
ReplyDeleteI have tried moving them to the other folders like you have said but it still doesnt work. PLEASE help, I have always loved your work!
Reinstall WMM 6.0 using my installer (click the page link at the top of the blog). I think you probably have a 32-bit version of WMM.
ReplyDeleteI can't install many of your effects, cuz my system is not supported.. Windows XP 2002.? Can you help
ReplyDeleteThat's because Windows XP only runs WMM 2.1, not WMM 6.0. Please click on my link for WMM-2.x only.
ReplyDeleteAlso, check out TheFXArchive.com for other transitions/effects for WMM 2.1.
is there any way i can get it to only pixelate like a face or just one piece of the video?
ReplyDeleteIt's not easy to do, but it is possible. Check out Patrick's Highlight Filter Effects. The problem will be trying to line up the censored area exactly with the face or other piece of video, especially if it is moving. But his example shows you can do it. You'd probably have to do a lot of tweaking to get it to match your video, but read that forum post and reply there if you need more specifics from him.
Deletethanks Loving the affects i have got the slow motion that works brilliantly!!
