Following my series of custom Movie Maker
image overlays, here's an overlay where your video appears on the back of a digital camera.
There are two installers depending on whether you are running on a
32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows. The installer will put the necessary files into, C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared.
Blaine's Camera Back Overlay (32-bit)
Blaine's Camera Back Overlay (64-bit)
To use the new title
Go to 'Tools' > 'Titles and Credits' > 'Title on the selected clip'.
Click on 'change the title animation'.
Under your list of one line titles there will a new title animation: Camera Back Overlay (4:3)
Pick this then click 'Done'.
Stretch the title so that it extends for the length of your clip.
If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the
original forum post that inspired this title.
dude! great site! loved your movie maker filters! THANK YOU!!
ReplyDeleteMr Blaine!
ReplyDeleteNot sure where else to post my question. But how do you import .mts files in MM6 without having to convert it? I'm using Windows 7 Professional. It would be a shame to download so many awesome add-ons and then not be able to edit anything because of the .mts format.
I've just resigned myself to converting mts files to wmv before editing. I've not been able to get a set of codecs to work for mts. If you do, let us know.
DeleteBlaine I just got new computer, Windows 7. I downloaded movie maker 6. Was making movie, everything working great until I hit burn to DVD. Nothing happened. I had to connect old computer to burn movie to DVD. I went to movie make that came with computer ( hate this version) and hit burn to dvd and it worked. Don't want to use that version. What am I missing?
ReplyDeleteWMM 6.0 when installed on Windows 7 doesn't directly connect to Windows DVD Maker. But you can save the movie to your PC and then run Windows DVD Maker manually.
DeleteI downloaded all these side effects (multi slides) and when I use them they are all the same, just a fade. I am running windows 7 and using MM6... any suggestions
ReplyDeleteThose transitions require ShaderTFX to be working. Be sure to install the DirectX 9 runtimes as noted on Rehan's pages.
Deletecan you point me to that page, please?
ReplyDeleteI found it and I need to pay $15.00 for the code for it to work correct?
ReplyDeleteFirst install DirectX, then ShaderTFX. Most transitions will still work without having to register ShaderTFX.
ReplyDeletewhat is the best video format to use on movie make 6 running windows 7?
ReplyDeleteMovie Maker prefers WMV format so that's what I try to always use.
Deletewhen making movie in movie maker it is perfect, when I burn it, the video sections are warped, pictures are perfect. The video I am importing is wmv but some how after burning the video it gets all messed up. Also some video is not even there. Using Movie Maker 6 running windows 7. Downloaded everything you suggested so far in the correct order, any suggestions?
ReplyDeletePatricia, could you instead post your questions in the Windows Movie Maker forums? I can respond much easier there. As much as I enjoy helping, I'd rather not have my blog comments filled with questions unrelated to the blog topic.
DeleteiPhone Overlay not appearing under animations or transitions what do i do/
ReplyDeleteIt's under titles, as noted in the directions. Be sure you have the correct version of WMM 6.0.
