I was playing around with Vista Movie Maker and came up with this custom "Bubble Warp" effect. It's rather subtle and looks best when applied to pictures with short durations. If you apply it to video or to longer duration photos, you may not even notice the effect.
Note: This effect takes advantage of the new effects architecture of Vista Movie Maker and therefore will not work in XP. It is a Vista-only effect.
Click on the icon above which will download the custom bubble warp effect. Run the installer and it will install the custom code you'll need for Vista Movie Maker. After installing, you'll have a new effect called "Blaine's Bubble Warp". Enjoy!

I love all your vista effects including this one and especially the fade to color effect. I have been sorely missing all my old XP effects since I got my new computer, and not many people are making Vista effects, so I appreciate you making them.
Sherri Scott here - new blogger. Okay, I am not even sure how to send a response to you. I had to start a google account too? And I think that posted to MY account. lol This is going to get confusing... So I just went back to your blog and found a place to respond and comment on another of your places. Well thank you. Nice family. I am not even sure what I am suppose to do with this "blogging." lol I ended up here because I left you that message. Guess I will learn in time, just like everything else. Look forward to downloading more fun stuff from you. I have your blog saved in my favorites so I can check back regularly. I don't see the one for the "movie" ratings on your blog now. How do I find that one with the directions for downloading?
Is there a way you can make the bubble go faster??
The duration is dependent on the length of the clip. If you put it on a 1 second clip it will go really fast. Put it on a 3 minute clip and you won't really notice it. Use the 'split' function if you want to apply it to the first few seconds of another clip.
