Note: This effect takes advantage of the effects architecture of Windows Movie Maker 6.0 and therefore will not work in XP.
There are two installers depending on whether you are running WMM 6.0 on a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows. The installer will put the necessary files into, C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared.
Windows Movie Maker 6.0:After installing, you'll have a new effect called "Blaine's Bubble Warp". Enjoy!
Blaine's Bubble Warp Effect (32-bit)
Blaine's Bubble Warp Effect (64-bit)
I love all your vista effects including this one and especially the fade to color effect. I have been sorely missing all my old XP effects since I got my new computer, and not many people are making Vista effects, so I appreciate you making them.
ReplyDeleteSherri Scott here - new blogger. Okay, I am not even sure how to send a response to you. I had to start a google account too? And I think that posted to MY account. lol This is going to get confusing... So I just went back to your blog and found a place to respond and comment on another of your places. Well thank you. Nice family. I am not even sure what I am suppose to do with this "blogging." lol I ended up here because I left you that message. Guess I will learn in time, just like everything else. Look forward to downloading more fun stuff from you. I have your blog saved in my favorites so I can check back regularly. I don't see the one for the "movie" ratings on your blog now. How do I find that one with the directions for downloading?
ReplyDeleteIs there a way you can make the bubble go faster??
ReplyDeleteThe duration is dependent on the length of the clip. If you put it on a 1 second clip it will go really fast. Put it on a 3 minute clip and you won't really notice it. Use the 'split' function if you want to apply it to the first few seconds of another clip.
ReplyDeleteDOESNT WORK?
ReplyDeleteAre you on a 32-bit version of Vista, or a 64-bit version? You probably need to copy it to the right folder if you have a 64-bit version.
ReplyDeletei dont get how to do it
ReplyDeletei downloaded it
then i ran it
but it wont do anything eles and its not im my WMM...
im sad :p
is there a way it can be used for windows 7 with movie maker 2.6?
ReplyDelete@CJ, WMM 2.6 is just the recompiled XP version 2.1, for those with insufficient hardware to run WMM 6.0. Since it shares its architecture with XP, this effect will not work under WMM 2.6. The good news is you can install WMM 6.0 under Windows 7 and then you can install this effect.
ReplyDeleteBlaine, I just downloaded about 12 different FX from your site...they look awesome. But I saw your above post. please tell me I didn't waste my time because I'm running Win7 elite, 32BIT and when I click the help , then go to about product details shows this...
ReplyDeleteWMMVersion 6.1 (Build 7601:Service pack 1,
Windows Movie Maker version 2.6.4037.0
thanks for your time.
You have the older 2.6 version based on the older code from XP. There's a link at the top of my blog to install WMM 6.0. By the way, don't get confused by the Windows 6.1 number; that's the internal version number for Windows 7. Look at the end for the version of Windows Movie Maker.
